Elections are key components of any democratic system. It is a medium that allows citizens to choose individuals and parties to represent their interests at state and/or national level and to formulate and uphold laws that not only conform to internationally recognized standards but that act as a check and balance to unbridled executive power. As well, there is the view that often, what is promised in elections is seldom, if at all, translated into real policy that strengthens democracy and improves governance practices. We have successfully completed the 01st International conference on Election and Democracy on 30th & 31st October 2015 on University of the Azores, Ponta Delgada, Portugal. With the successfully completion of that conference, we are proudly organizing 02nd International Conference on Election and Democracy under the theme of “Develop and Protect Humanity”. This will be held on 11th November 2016 @ University of the Azores, Ponta Delgada, Portugal. Gathering of pool of human resources can easily exchange their ideas, knowledge and other things with others effectively.
